Setting up your own look: how to personalize your webshop through the dashboard

05/07/2026 — Recordflower

A recognizable webshop starts with your own look. Through your RecordFlower dashboard, you decide how your store looks: your logo, your colors, your brand name. You don't need any web design knowledge: you fill in the settings, click Save changes, and open your store to see the result. Below, you'll find step by step which settings you control yourself.

Where do you find the settings?

In the dashboard, you'll find the options under Shop → Webshop. Underneath are separate pages for Homepage, SEO, White label and Legal & company. Each page has its own Save changes button. Changes are therefore not saved automatically. Want to see the result? Use the My store link in the user menu to open your webshop in a new tab.

1. Brand and colors

  • Logo: Upload your own logo (PNG or JPG, max. 2 MB, recommended 400×100 px). Your logo appears in the header and footer, and is also used as the favicon (the browser tab icon).

  • Primary color: The main color of your store: buttons, prices, accents and the cart badge.

  • Accent color: A second color for accents and details.

  • Brand name: The name of your store is shown as the title and as the alt text for your logo.

2. Product card style

Under Display, you choose how records are shown on the overview page:

  • Classic: Clean and simple: cover image with the details underneath.

  • Shelf: Rounded card with colored condition labels.

  • Vinyl: The record slides out of the sleeve on hover.

3. Homepage

On the Homepage page, you set up the top section and layout of your homepage:

  • Hero style: Choose Classic (text + image) or Cover wall (text with a moving wall of covers). With Classic, you can upload your own background image (max. 5 MB).

  • Label, heading, subtitle and button: Set your own text and button (text + link) for your hero.

  • Featured records: Automatically show the 15 newest additions, or choose your own (hand-picked, at least 5 records).

  • Now Spinning: Highlight one record as a personal pick: off, choose yourself, or random for every visitor.

  • CTA banner: Adjust the heading, subtitle and button text of the banner at the bottom of your homepage.

4. Contact and social media

Under Webshop, you fill in your contact details (email, phone, address) and your social media (Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, YouTube). These appear in the footer and on the About page.

5. Display and orders

  • Show reviews: Turn customer reviews (from Discogs) on or off.

  • Minimum order amount: Optionally set a minimum order amount (in cents; 1000 = €10.00). Leave empty to disable this.

  • Show stock counts: Let buyers see the exact quantity in stock, or only whether a record is available.

  • Genre section on the homepage: Turn the genre blocks on your homepage on or off.

  • Pause your store temporarily: Pause your store with your own message to buyers, for example during a holiday. Your stock and settings are retained.

6. Legal and company

On the Legal & company page, you record: your Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number, VAT number, terms of sale (on your About page), and optionally your own terms and conditions and privacy policy (leave them empty, and we show RecordFlower's default text). Have a physical store? Turn it on and add opening hours, highlights and a welcome message.

7. Extra options (with add-on or package)

  • SEO: With the SEO add-on, you set your own meta title, meta description and social share image for better visibility and clean share previews.

  • White label: With the Remove branding add-on, you hide the "Powered by RecordFlower" notice in the footer.

  • Own domain: With the right package, you connect your own domain name to your store (see the Own domain guide under Settings).

Save and preview

Click Save changes on every page; your changes take effect immediately. Then open My store to see what your webshop looks like now. You can adjust everything at any time. Feel free to experiment until your store fully has your own look.
