Shipping to a pickup point or parcel locker: here's how to set it up

21/07/2026 — Recordflower

Buyers can now have their order delivered to a pickup point or parcel locker instead of at home. That saves failed deliveries, and in many countries the rate is lower than home delivery. You decide yourself whether to offer this option, in which countries, and at what rate.

What the buyer sees

At checkout, the buyer chooses how they want to receive their order. Depending on what you've configured, they see "Ship to me", "Pickup point", and, if you offer pickup, "Pick up in store". Options that don't apply to their country are not shown by RecordFlower.

If the buyer chooses a pickup point and you've set up DHL ServicePoints, they enter their postal code and immediately see the nearest points and parcel lockers, with the distance in meters. As soon as they click one, RecordFlower fills in the address automatically. The buyer never types out an address themselves, which saves errors on your shipping label.

How to set it up

Step 1: In your dashboard, go to Store → Shipping costs and open your shipping profile.

Step 2: Click the Shipping methods tab, then "Add shipping method".

Step 3: Give the method a name. The buyer sees this name at checkout, so write something they'll recognize: "DHL pickup point" or "Pick up at a parcel locker".

Step 4: Set Delivery to "Pickup point / parcel locker". A choice for the pickup point network now appears.

Step 5: Choose "DHL ServicePoints" if you want the buyer to look up a point themselves. Choose "Other", and the buyer enters the address of their pickup point manually. In that case, write instructions explaining how to find a point.

Step 6: Add a rate per country under "Countries and rates" and click "Save shipping methods". The method is active in your webshop immediately.

DHL ServicePoints or manual

The automatic finder works in sixteen countries: the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Austria, Portugal, Poland, Czechia, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Greece and the United Kingdom.

Selling outside those countries, or working with a different carrier? Choose "Other". The buyer looks up a point themselves and enters the address at checkout. Your instructions appear right above that, so they know where to look.

Rates per country

Every country gets its own rate. You charge per order, per item, by weight, or by quantity. With weight or quantity, you set up tiers — for example up to 500 grams and up to 1000 grams, or up to 40 items and up to 80 items, just like on Discogs. A multi-disc release (2LP, 3LP) counts as multiple items. If a package exceeds your highest tier, the rate for that tier applies.

Under "More options", you set a per-country amount above which you ship for free, and the expected delivery time in days. The buyer sees that delivery time next to the shipping method.

What you see on the order

For an order to a pickup point, the name and address of the chosen point appear on the order in your dashboard and in your order email. You use that address for your shipping label, exactly as the buyer selected it.

What does this mean for you?

You decide per country whether you offer pickup points and what it costs. Your buyer chooses a point that suits them, and you receive an address that's accurate.

Set up your first pickup point method through Store → Shipping costs in your dashboard.
